Humanitarian service

RAS as a non- profit organization and a humanitarian service provider for weaker section of the society has positively responded and took part in following the circular received from Ministry of State (GOM) and Ministry of Home Affairs (GOI) in fighting the COVID19 pandemic and accordingly, RAS was empaneled as COVID 19 response team within the district in partnering with the District Administration, District Health Department and various Local Civil Society Organization. In response to this RURAL AID SERVICE (RAS) Churachandpur believes that Covid-19 calls for Humanity, and intervene on any possible way. Various forms of relief materials were distributed in different villages and areas; Community awareness in collaboration with health Department was conducted

Awareness programme

On 14 of April, Health Department in collaboration with Childline, the organization conducted Awareness programme on Covid-19 at Kullian Village, Singat Sub-division. The session was conducted by Miss Vungi ASHA of Kullian Village. The resource person Mrs. Mang, ANM aware the villagers on what covid-19 is and how to protect ourselves from it., after a resourceful session, the team distributed a set of protective gear.

Training programmes

In collaboration with the District Health Department, the organization in an attempt to combat and contain COVID-19  pandemic in the district, on 7 May’2020 had organized an awareness and training programmes in 25 project villages under 4 blocks (Samulamlan, Tuibong, Kangvai and Henglep). In which it practices and follow physical distancing, hand washing technique was shown in view of mass gathering and restriction from Government, ensuring minimal trainee (youth club, Pres./Secy).
