North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi)
The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi) had its Head Quarter at Guwahati, with 15 branch offices and RO Networks in different districts of the NE regions.
The Representative Office (RO) of NEDFi in Churachandpur District under Rural Aid Service (RAS) initiated on January 2011 completed its 10th Anniversary in this year 2021. During these decades it has outsources a good number of beneficiaries. Unfortunately, the current reporting period was disrupted by Covid-19 Pandemic due to which maximum services could not be rendered. Nonetheless, NEDFi RO endeavors to dispense utmost service to the beneficiaries.
The main objective and purpose of RO is to extend the NEDFi Services in the concerned district, playing its role of facilitating, nurturing, financing and promoting the development of entrepreneurship and growth of enterprises in this remote part of India. NEDFi’s products are designed and broadly classified into Project Finance, MSE Finance&Micro Finance under different schemes which were relevant to the type of business of the entrepreneurs.viz. WEDs,NEEDs, EDs,NOSSE, GECL, etc.
Identification of potential entrepreneurs
RAS as representative office RO- Churachandpur ‘serving as the pioneer for the economic development of the district’, has achieved and succeeded in the functioning of RO at different level. RAS has been outsourcing a number of projects within the district by identifying, outsourcing and promoting potential clients.
RAS as an RO had conducted field visits from time to time as per the directions of the Branch and Head office. Since march 2020, the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, continuous lockdown imposed in the state greatly affected the economic, livelihood, governance and normal life.
